Spring Select FAQs for Parents

What is the Spring Select season and what is the process for selection for U8-U19

For each division, there will be a select number of teams allowed to compete.  The Board of Directors will vote on the quantity of teams in each division as well as the coach(es).  The coaches are responsible for creating their own teams

Who is eligible to participate in this season?

Option 1) Spring select through the region. This is available for players on U8 and above who have been selected to play by a coach. The cost is $100 for players who played in Fall 2023 and $120 for new players.   These players will need to register in our system like they did in the Fall. You will be placed on the waitlist then moved over when the roster is turned in by the coach. You will then receive an email to pay. If your child hasn’t been contacted by a coach and you want them to play Spring Select you can register them on the waitlist this way and if a coach needs a player they will choose from the waitlist. There is no guarantee that your player will be placed on a team.

Option 2) Spring Academy ran by First Touch Coaching. This will consist of 1 practice and 1 game. Registration will be https://campscui.active.com/orgs/FirstTouchSoccer?orglink=camps-registration#/selectSessions/2592103
This is open for any player ages 4-12 and no experience is necessary so it’s great for those starting out.

We hope to see you in the Spring for one of the 2 choices. Please let us know if you have any questions and enjoy the holidays with your families!!

How long is the season?

Spring Select season is approximately 10 weeks long. March 2 - May 11

Field takedown will be the responsibility of the team with the last game of the day on your assigned field.  They’ll be responsible for putting away the goals, nets, and flags.

Referees

The home team will provide the center referee, but volunteer referees must be provided by each team to cover the AR (sideline) duties.
